Thanksgiving Dinner Continued
Fifendekel and Friends have been creating videos to make your Thanksgiving Dinner preparations easier. We’d like to share two more recipes with your. the first if from our visit to Thiels Greenhouse and here is the best dressing to pour over their fresh greens.
Shirley Smith’s EpicFresh Greens Dressing
2.5 cloves garlic, minced
1 TBSP hone
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/c oil
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 heaping TBSP mayonnaise
1 TBSP vinegar
Put all ingredients in a jar. Mix or shake until well blended. Best made the day before.
Cranberry Sauce
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
Optional – pecans, orange zest, raisins, currants, blueberries, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice
Boil water with sugar to dissolve sugar
Add Cranberries, return to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until most of the cranberries have burst.
Add optional ingredients to your taste.
Cool then transfer to a bowl to chill in the refrigerator. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
